Features
The Calf Catcher weighs approximately 350 lbs., measures 4
ft. by 6 ft., and has 8 inches of ground clearance. The
spring loaded gates are opened by pulling a rope while
seated on the ATV. There is a latch which holds the gates
open and is released by stepping on it from the ATV. The
latch is located near the ATV operator's right foot.
All the hardware, components, and assembly instructions to
mount on a standard ATV are included. For larger "Cargo
Type" ATVs such as the "Mule," "Ranger," and "Gator," an
Extended Hitch Design is required. We have the Calf Catcher
mounted on Honda Ranchers, Arctic Cats, Yamaha Kodiaks,
Polaris Rangers, Gators, and a John Deer Buck to name a few.
If you move newborn calves from yard to yard, we offer an
optional Sling.
Extended Hitch Design
The Extended Hitch Design
allows for mounting to larger 4x4 ATVs such as the John
Deere Gator, Polaris RAnger, Kawasaki Mule, and Kabota RTV.
There is also an Extended Hitch Design for 6x6 ATVs. Please
consult the factory for details.
Calf
Weighing System
New Tec Inc. has developed
an innovative system to weigh newborn calves. With the
Sling, scale, and lift arm the calf is constrained for
processing and obtaining accurate weight information. The
lift arm greatly reduces the effort needed to lift the calf
for weighing.
Calf Sling
The same sling which is
used in the Weighing System also works well to transport
calves. The sling is fastened onto the calf and then hooked
on the side of the Calf Catcher for transportation. Our
sling is custom made with stiffening supports to prevent the
sling from bunching up. Each sling includes two removable
straps with snaps that can be used to further secure the
calf.
Wheel
Kit
For farmers who need to tow
the Calf Corral down the road to a remote pasture or load
the ATV and Calf Corral on a trailer, New Tec Inc. has
designed a rear tow wheel kit. The hitch is rotated to a
rear tow position and a wheel is added to support the ATV
side of the Calf Corral. The extra wheel is stored on the
rear panel of the Calf Corral when not being used.
Toolbox
& Holder
Keep your calf processing
equipment and tags with you in a convenient location. The
Toolbox and Holder mounts to the side panel of the Calf
Corral.
